Maloney Metalcraft acquires Ormandy Group assets
Maloney Metalcraft has purchased certain of the intellectual property (IP) and other assets from the Ormandy Group from Administrators KPMG and will integrate them within its business. Maloney Metalcraft’s parent business, Avingtrans PLC, has developed a reputation for turning around the fortunes of underperforming businesses in highly-regulated, engineering niche markets.
Austen Adams, managing director of Maloney Metalcraft, said: “Since its formation in 2000, Ormandy Group has developed a very good reputation for manufacturing high-quality products and providing excellent customer service. Unfortunately, challenging market conditions have taken their toll on the business over recent years. We are confident that by making the most of the synergies that exist between the Ormandy Group and Avingtrans’ businesses and using the capabilities that already exist within our own operations, we can breathe new life into the well-known brands of Ormandy, Rycroft and Newade. One of our first priorities will be to talk to existing customers to identify how we can best deliver their product and service needs.”
Ormandy Group, which manufactures off-site plant, heat exchangers and other HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) products has supplied systems for major projects such as The Shard and the refit of Wembley Stadium. It operates primarily in the HVAC, construction, offshore, defence, pharma and food processing markets.
