Hayward Tyler Fluid Handling secures Sellafield contract
Hayward Tyler Fluid Handling, part of Avingtrans PLC, has secured a contract worth an initial £2.5 million, to develop a prototype valve for a nuclear plant operator in the UK.
The contract will see the East Kilbride-based business develop the valve to replace legacy components, with a potential to produce up to 150 further units in due course.
Austen Adams, divisional managing director of Avingtrans’ Process Equipment and Rotating Solutions division, said: “The contract is great news for the team and recognises both Hayward Tyler Fluid Handling and the wider division’s expertise in this sector.
“We will be leveraging our international supply chain and US capabilities to deliver the contract and are confident our solution will provide both exceptional performance and value for our customer.”
