We are pleased to announce, our subsidiary, Booth Industries, has won the SME of the Year and Business Growth awards at this year’s Make UK Manufacturing Regional Awards.
The Make UK Manufacturing Awards celebrate British manufacturing excellence and recognise outstanding people from the industry who have delivered innovative projects and showcased resilience and dedication.
Booth Industries was present at the Make UK North West Regional Dinner in Liverpool last night, where the team celebrated its double success and will now compete for the national titles later this year.
Mike Jenkinson, MD of Booth Industries, commented: ‘’We are delighted to have won two prestigious awards at The Make UK Manufacturing Regional Awards and I would like to thank the team for their hard work, commitment, and strength to overcome the challenges we have all faced over the past two years.
“When the assets of the business were sold to Avingtrans in 2019, we had to rebuild the business from scratch but everyone has pulled together to turn the business around, re-establishing confidence in key sectors and securing millions of pounds of new business from customers including The Elizabeth Line, HS2 and other key infrastructure projects.
“It is a fantastic result for all of us and we are looking forward to the national finals where we hope to bring home two more trophies.’’
Austen Adams, managing director of Avingtrans’ Process Solutions and Rotating Equipment division, which is home to Booth Industries, added: ‘’We are delighted by Booth’s achievement, which is fantastic recognition of their achievements over the last few years.
“Since we acquired the assets of the business, the whole team has worked tremendously hard to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the business, investing time and resources to update systems and hone their strategy to focus on areas of genuine strength and opportunity.
“The manufacturing industry is extremely competitive, and these awards are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and expertise of the team. We are now committed to building on these promising foundations to cement the company’s position as the global leader in its markets.”
